Full Moon Jazz Night on Hollywood Beach

Full Moon Jazz Night on Hollywood Beach, a new free event presented by the Beach District of the Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency, will debut from 6 to 10 p.m. Sun., Nov. 5 at the Hollywood Beach Theater at Johnson Street and the Broadwalk.

The event will feature live jazz under the full moon by the Brenda Alford Quartet (6 to 8 p.m.) and Latin jazz fusion band Oriente with special guest vocalist Kenny Seabrook (8 to 10 p.m.).

Join the South Florida Amateur Astronomers Association just south of Johnson Street for a spectacular night of stargazing, with telescopes and projectors set up to follow the moon rising from the ocean at 5:38 p.m. The family-fun event also will feature a Howl at the Moon Contest for kids.
